Spring Break Camps March 27-31: Children ages 3-10 are invited to join the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department for a week filled with fun, games, and excitement during the Yorkville School District Spring Break (March 27-31). The department has a camp for all interests and ages. Participants in grades 1-4 will have fun playing sports of all kinds at the Spring Break Sports Camp held on Tuesday, March 28 and Thursday, March 30 from noon to 2 p.m. The Spring Fever Camp held on Tuesday, March 28 and Thursday, March 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. will have children ages 3-5 playing games and doing crafts. Music Together Classes and Free Demo: The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is offering a new music class for your family. Music Together is for children starting from birth up through 5 years old. Nurture your child’s natural enthusiasm for music and movement with Music Together’s fun, engaging and musically diverse experience. The informal instructional style will soon have your entire family singing, dancing and laughing together. Siblings under 9 months are free. Siblings 9 months and over receive a discount. Music Together runs Fridays from 10 to 10:45 a.m. starting April 7 through June 9 and is held at the Yorkville Public Library, 902 Game Farm Road. Class fee is $147 for residents and $152 for non-residents.

The department is hosting a Free Class Demo of the internationally acclaimed Music Together class this Friday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the Yorkville Public Library. Basic Life Support: The department is offering a two-year, Basic Life Support Certification Course. This nationally recognized certification is for healthcare professionals and health care students. Participants will be trained in one- and two-person CPR, utilizing barrier devices and masks. This course will be held at the department at 201 W. Hydraulic Avenue on Saturday, April 8 from 1 to 5 p.m. and costs $65 for residents and $70 for non-residents. Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt Saturday, April 8: Join the department and Senior Services for this fun, family event at the Beecher Community Center, 908 Game Farm Road, on Saturday, April 8 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Families will eat a hot breakfast with the Easter Bunny, create crafts, play games, and then at 9:15 a.m. hunt for Easter Eggs. The Egg Hunt will be held outside, so dress appropriately. The cost is $6 per person and includes breakfast, activities, and the egg hunt. Preregistration is required and all ages must register.
